Sound Therapy

What is Sound Therapy?

Sound Therapy is a gentle non invasive therapy. Using instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, gongs and more are used in a therapeutic way to assist in the clients healing session.

This can be a private one to one session or part of a larger group in a “Sound Meditation”.

Sound tools help to entrain the brain to move into the deeper alpha and theta brain-wave frequencies.
These are frequencies that induce deep meditative and peaceful states, clarity of mind and intuition.

Harmonic sound vibrations engage the relaxation reflex, slow down respiratory and brain function and heart rate and disrupt the pain reflex, creating a deep sense of well-being.

Modern medicine can now measure and, thus, confirm the practice of sound as a means to promote healing.
Sound is a type of energy medicine that creates the sacred space in which people can heal from stress disorders, pain, depression, the emotional roller coaster and more…

Close Your Eyes And Do Nothing

SURROUNDED BY HER COLLECTION OF 18 GONGS and dozens of crystal and brass singing bowls, Jamie Bechtold, 39, caters to a clientele that can’t get enough of good vibrations. In 2015, she opened up a sound-focused wellness space in Eagle Rock, a gentrifying neighborhood just north of Los Angeles, the perennial hub of new age therapies—and lately, business is booming. Tuning forks

“Memories are magnetically recorded in our biofield and stressful experiences create “static” in this record. Tuning forks can clear that static, helping to reduce or eliminate physical and emotional discomfort.” – Eileen McKusick, Author and Biofield Researcher

What Are Tuning Forks
Healing with tuning forks is becoming an increasingly popular healing modality
as the science behind sound and vibrational healing therapy becomes more
available. This form of therapy involves using specific pitches and vibrations to
relieve stress, pain and bring about balance within the body.
Tuning forks have traditionally been used to tune musical instruments. A tuning
fork is specifically designed to release a perfect note or wave pattern for a
musician to adjust her instruments to match. However, alternative healing
practitioners have discovered the benefits of using tuning forks during healing
treatment sessions.

How Tuning Forks Are Used
Tuning forks are used for healing because of the vibrations emitted when
struck. When a tuning fork is struck, not only does the fork vibrate, but also the
surrounding air space with the same frequency of vibration. The vibration alters
your body’s biochemistry and brings your nervous system, muscle tone and
organs into harmonic balance.
Benefits of Using Tuning Forks
•Instantaneous, deep state of relaxation
•Reduce Stress
•Increase in mental clarity and brain functioning
•Encourages blood flow and lymphatic drainage
•Increase in physical energy and mental concentration
•Enhance massage, acupressure, dreamwork and meditation
•Balance your nervous system
•Balance the left and right brain
