Meditation in your own time and space Week 4

Sound Meditation

Take some time out to relax, restore and revive yourself through sound.

We all need time to slow down and relax. It’s so important to our overall health and wellbeing. We know it can be difficult to make time for this too with life’s challenges, so to make it easier to join in our weekly Sound Meditation it will be updated and Live every Wednesday from 7pm, this means once you have booked it’s available to you whenever or wherever you want to use it, until the next session is available the following week. So not just one live event but accessible at any time!

A sound meditation uses different instruments and sounds to create a “soundscape” where the ultimate feeling is deep relaxation, All the instruments used give different tones and frequencies and have many different benefits to mind, body and soul.

One of the many instruments used during a Sound Meditation are Tibetan Singing bowls.

“The soothing sounds of Tibetan bowls are a very powerful tool for wellness and can be used jointly with massage techniques to enhance and prolong the effects of physical treatments. The bowls used are a great tool to tune the body and bring balance where it is needed ,both at cellular and physical level. They also bring a deep state of relaxation to mind body and spirit by relaxing the system responsible for the production of cortisol (stress hormone)”.

Whether you’ve done this before or it’s your first time, participation is simple, all you need to do is give yourself the time, the gift of being present. Slow down and switch off, we all need it and it’s beneficial in so many ways to give ourselves a deep sense and feel of relaxation.

All you need is a comfortable quiet space, sit or lie down, use a yoga matt or chair.

You can use some headphones or speakers and let the sound do the rest.

All our meditations are 45-60 minutes long, this is ideal for some people but you can do it in stages too as you will have access to replay the session when you want.

Tickets available here, event link will be emailed to you on payment.

Tuesday Time out….

If you want to download, press the 3 dots on the right of the player and save

This short meditation is with some singing bowls, no voice just the sounds. A good idea is to find a comfortable space, take some deep breaths, close your eyes and just listen, after the sounds give yourself a few minutes of silence to come back… if you need more, play it again ! Enjoy :)

Take some time out in your day..

With all that’s going on around us, it’s easy to feel a bit more stressed than usual. I think some of us don’t realise how stress can effect us or even how much we have in our lives. It’s always good to take some time during the day to switch off and relax.

Singing Bowls short meditation

A thought..

“It is very important to go out alone, to sit under a tree – not with a book, not with a companion, but by yourself – and observe the falling of a leaf, hear the lapping of the water, the fishermen’s song, watch the flight of a bird, and of your own thoughts as they chase each other across the space of your mind.If you are able to be alone and watch these things, then you will discover extraordinary riches which no government can tax, no human agency can corrupt, and which can never be destroyed.”
